SBDC: Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Certification | PTAC
March 2, 2021 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
In this webinar, we will discuss recent changed to the SDVOSB certification process, benefits of the certification, and eligibility requirements (including ownership rules, and control requirements). It is important to understand the eligibility requirements and ensure you meet the requirements prior to applying through the new certification process.
The 2021 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), eliminates SDVOSB self-certification and will adopt a government wide SDVOSB Certification within two years. The act transfer’s control of the certification program from the Veterans Administration to the Small Business Administration.
There are currently two certification/verification programs for SDVOSB; the NDAA streamlines the certification process to one program under the SBA who is responsible for all other small business certifications. The VA’s verification program will be dissolved (at a date to be determined) and the self-certification through SAM will be replaced with the new SBA certification process.
Webinar Topics Include:
- 2021 NDAA SDVOSB Changes
- SDVOSB Overview
- SDVOSB Eligibility Requirements
- SDVOSB Ownership & Control Rules
- VA Verification Process
