What is Startup Launchpad?

The Startup Launchpad offers mentoring and advising, workshops, referrals to resources, assistance in obtaining funding, and connection to our extensive network of entrepreneurs, investors, advisors, and service providers. Our vision is that we are creating a community of entrepreneurs and mentors who can support each other in developing innovative businesses in our region – Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz counties.

Why Apply to Launchpad?

Companies who apply will go through an assessment process to identify priorities in their development process as well as match them with appropriate advisors. Each Launchpad company will create milestones for getting to launch. Continued participation in the Launchpad will depend on demonstrated progress toward achieving the milestones. Companies will “graduate” from the Launchpad when they are ready to operate independently or to enter an accelerator program, but all graduates will remain eligible for continued participation in programs – and looked to for assistance with newer companies entering the Launchpad.

How Do You Apply to Launchpad?

To apply to the Startup Launchpad fill out the application form. The selection process will include an interview with the founding team.

The Startup Launchpad Monterey Bay is funded in part by the US Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration, with matching funding provided by CSU, Monterey Bay College of Business, Union Bank, Wells Fargo Bank, and Taylor Farms, the city of Seaside, and the city of Salinas. Additional support provided by the counties of Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito.
