Salinas, CA — Salinas businesses and their employees are greatly impacted by the disruption caused by the state’s Shelter in Place order. Information regarding federal, state and local emergency and recovery assistance is changing daily. The City continues to work to maintain a comprehensive list of resources available for businesses and employees on its website.
El Pajáro Community Development Corporation and the Central Coast Small Business Center are the City’s boots-on-the-ground resources for providing free one-on-one technical assistance, business advising and resource navigation for small businesses in English and Spanish during this time. They can also assist with completing the SBA Disaster Relief Loan Application. See El Pajaro CDC 6 actions that small businesses need to take now. The Monterey County Emergency Operations Center is conducting a survey to get a better understanding of the impacts of COIVD-19 on the local economy in Monterey County. This information is pertinent for the county to qualify for Small Business Administration assistance. All for profit, local businesses should complete this survey as soon as possible, for faster qualification. The City encourages continued community support of our local businesses to navigate and recover from this challenging time. This can be as easy as ordering take out, paying a little more to purchase local (Many businesses are offering curbside pick-up and/or free delivery) and taking the time to provide positive customer reviews via social media.
