Techstars Startup Weekend Monterey Bay Returns to CSUMB on Feb. 5-7

Techstars Startup Weekend, in partnership with Google for Startups, and CSUMB’s College of Business’ Institute for Innovation & Economic Development returns to CSUMB for the ninth year. This year’s event will be completely online, Feb. 5-7, with pre-event workshops on Feb. 1 and 3.

For people who have an idea for a new business, are curious about entrepreneurship, or want to start a business, Startup Weekend provides hands-on experience with a community of fellow explorers.

Techstars Startup Weekend is a program where everyone, from aspiring entrepreneurs to the merely curious, can learn about the process of starting a business. Over the weekend, participants experience the highs, lows, fun, and pressure that make up life at a startup. As they learn how to create a real company, they’ll meet mentors, investors, cofounders, and sponsors who are ready to help them get started, refine their idea, and
explain it to others.

Startup Weekend is open to all community members and students. Registration is $20 for community members and free for students. Find out more and sign up to participate at the StartupMontereyBay.com website, or email info@startupmontereybay.com.

Startup Weekend Monterey Bay is hosted by the Institute for Innovation and Economic Development (iiED), an institute of Cal State Monterey Bay’s College of Business.
